Sophie Webber has extensive experience in various roles and industries. Sophie is currently the Communications Lead at Founderland, where they focus on advancing the mission of fostering innovation, gender diversity, and inclusivity in the European startup and innovation ecosystem. In this role, they are responsible for the strategic direction of communication efforts.
Prior to this, Sophie worked as a Venture Architect at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute HHI, where they were involved in the Fraunhofer/Silicon Allee project. Sophie also held positions at Silicon Allee, first as a Product Lead and later as an Education Manager.
Additionally, Sophie has experience at Brave Business Blueprint as the Founder and Business Coach. Sophie'sresponsibilities included helping entrepreneurs establish strong personal brands and achieve their goals. Sophie also founded naturalistas, utilizing sales and marketing skills to drive business development.
Earlier in their career, Sophie worked as a Marketing Content Manager at italki and as a Community Editor at Ringier China. Sophie also served as a Business Development Specialist at Groupmall, where they pitched new products and managed client relationships.
Sophie's work experience also includes a role as an English and Drama Teacher at SBETC. Overall, they have a diverse background in communications, business development, marketing, and education.
Sophie Webber attended the University of Nottingham from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Master's Degree in Business/Economics and Chinese. Prior to that, they attended Manchester High School for Girls from 2004 to 2011. Sophie later pursued Chinese Studies at Shandong University of Finance and Economics starting from 2016. In 2016, they also obtained a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) 150 Hours certification from the TEFL Institute.
