Amrita Banerjee

Amrita B. serves as the Director of Research and Principal Scientist at Fount Bio, Inc. since February 2022, where operations and R&D team management are key responsibilities. Prior experience includes a role as Research Chemist at USDA, focusing on the toxicity of micro and nanoparticles, and an Assistant Professor position at North Dakota State University, where Amrita B. developed nanoparticles for drug delivery in obesity and neuroAIDS treatment. Previous positions also include a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Santa Barbara, involved in oral insulin and nanoparticle delivery systems, as well as various research and teaching roles at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Amrita B. holds a Ph.D. in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with a Master's and Bachelor's in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacy from BIT Mesra, and completed postdoctoral training in Pharmaceutics at UC Santa Barbara.
