Kinga Jedrzejczak has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kinga began their career as a Therapy Assistant at Lodz Pediatric Hospital in 2002, providing therapy to children and carrying out psychological evaluations. Kinga then worked as a Psychologist & Therapist at Community Mental Health Center, where they assisted clients with mental disorders in developing problem-solving and social skills. In 2002, they also served as a Coordinator at Old Depot Art Gallery, coordinating exhibits and managing a gallery staff of adults with mental disorders. From 2007 to 2009, Kinga worked as the General Manager at Royal Warsaw Restaurant, managing the staff and overseeing various operational aspects of the business. In 2011, they briefly worked as a Consultant/Translator at Izabela Guzek, Association for Dance Movement Therapy in London. Kinga joined Fountain House in 2014, where they held multiple roles, including Program Staff Worker, Coordinator of Educational Partnership Development, and currently, as the Associate Director of Partnership Development. At Fountain House, they engage with individuals with mental illness, provides assistance in securing treatment and opportunities, and contributes to partnership development.
Kinga Jedrzejczak has a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Lodz, which they earned from 1997 to 2002. Kinga also completed coursework in Social Work at Bergen County Community College from 2009 to 2010. In 2018, they obtained a Creating Leadership Development Programs Certificate from ATD Education Programs.

Millions of Americans living with serious mental illness are denied access to care and support in the community, and end up cycling through our streets, shelters, emergency rooms, and jails. For far too long our punitive, ineffective and costly approaches have taken away their capacity, dignity, and humanity. For more than 70 years, Fountain House has believed in people living with serious mental illness - who are our sons, daughters, mothers and fathers, friends and neighbors - and has proven that they can reach their goals and aspirations for a better life. Fountain House works. Our members are hospitalized and experience crisis significantly less than others with serious mental illness, resulting in 21% lower Medicaid costs. Of the 40% of our members experiencing homelessness or unstable housing when they arrive at Fountain House, 99% are housed within a year. Of the 24% of Fountain House members with a history of incarceration and justice involvement, rates of recidivism are less than 5%. Our members complete their education, find paid work, and achieve health and wellness goals at significantly higher rates than people living with serious mental illness who don’t have access to our programs. This is a model that is working in Mental Health Clubhouses across the country.
