Shashank Deshpande

Shashank Deshpande has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and AI. Shashank currently holds the position of Senior Data Scientist at FourKites, Inc. since 2022. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2022, they worked at Aligned Automation as a Data Scientist, where they were responsible for implementing advanced NLP techniques to improve the accuracy of an existing sentiment analysis solution and worked on demand forecasting for supply chain efficiency. Shashank also built a web application using Streamlit to streamline the experimentation process for time series forecasting problems.

Before joining Aligned Automation, Shashank worked at Light Information Systems Pvt. Ltd. from 2017 to 2021. Shashank initially worked as a Software Engineer, where they completed critical projects both independently and in a team, coding intelligent bots and applying machine learning for intent classification. Later, they were promoted to the role of Team Lead - AI, NLP Projects, where they led AI and NLP projects from June 2018 to May 2021.

Shashank Deshpande's education history is as follows:

From 2016 to 2017, Shashank attended the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) where they obtained a PG Diploma in Big Data Analytics. The field of study for this diploma is not specified.

Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, Shashank pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mathematics from Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Earlier, from 2011 to 2014, they attended Sir Parashurambhau College in India and completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Shashank has also obtained additional certifications. In September 2022, they attained the Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification from Microsoft. Furthermore, in December 2020, they earned the TensorFlow Developer Professional Certificate from DeepLearning.AI.
