Rebecca Funston has extensive work experience in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and clinical research. Rebecca currently holds the position of Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Clinical Research at Fourth Frontier, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of RAQACA at B-Secur from April 2021 to October 2022, and as the Director of RAQA from November 2021 to October 2022. Before joining B-Secur, Rebecca worked as the Director of Global Regulatory and Clinical Affairs at Physio-Control, now part of Stryker, from December 2020 to November 2021. Rebecca also worked at Stryker as a Senior Manager RA & QA from October 2017 to December 2020. Rebecca's early career includes a long tenure at HeartSine Technologies, where they held the position of Clinical Research Manager from June 2001 to November 2017.

Rebecca Funston obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Ulster University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the same institution, from 2000 to 2004. Rebecca's earlier education includes completing their A-levels and GCSEs at Cambridge House Girls' Grammar, which they attended from 1993 to 2000.
