Nick Lawler

Nick Lawler serves as a portfolio manager and analyst for Foxhaven. Nick’s investment career began at Maverick Capital, working with Mike Pausic on the media and telecommunications team for the first seven years before moving to Hong Kong to lead Maverick’s efforts in Asia. In Asia, Nick broadened the scope of his industry expertise. Nick’s foundation for strategic investing was built at McKinsey & Company where he was an analyst in the corporate strategy and finance practice. Nick has been involved directly in companies, most recently serving on the board of Youku Todou, an internet television company in China. Nick left Maverick in 2013 to found Foxhaven. He received his BA in Economics with a financial concentration from the University of Virginia in 2002.
