Emily Straw

Emily joined FPA in 2020. She is responsible for the firm’s institutional business development and relationship management initiatives. From 2012 until 2019, Emily was a Managing Director and Partner at Palmer Square where she focused on business development, client service and strategies across corporate and structured credit. Previously she was with SSI Investment Management where she was responsible for leading the business development efforts across the outright and hedged convertible strategies. While at SSI, she focused on building relationships with consultants and institutional clients globally. From 2002 to 2008 Emily was the Director of Institutional Client Service and Marketing for the Small Cap Growth, Mid Cap Value and Large Cap Value strategies at Artisan Partners. Prior to Artisan Partners, Emily was a Senior Associate at Wilshire Asset Management (Wilshire Associates) where she was responsible for business development and client relations across the comingled investment products as well as the separately managed account platform. Emily started her career as an Equity Analyst with a focus on semiconductors, hardware and financial industries for the small cap growth strategy at Columbus Circle Investors. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from Mount Holyoke College.
