Kristen obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Leadership from Athabasca University, graduating in 2025. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations from Athabasca University in 2014, specializing in Labor and Industrial Relations.

In 2011, Kristen earned a Diploma in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of Alberta. In 2009, they received a Certificate in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from Keyano College.
