Senior Managing Director, Compensation Consulting Group at FPL Global

Katie Gaynor is a Senior Managing Director in the Compensation Consulting group at FPL Associates and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ms. Gaynor is responsible for co-managing the Compensation Consulting division of FPL and has over 15 years of experience advising real estate companies on strategic and compensation-related matters. Ms. Gaynor specializes in compensation planning and structuring for public and private companies; drafting compensation disclosures to comply with requirements set forth by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC); conducting corporate governance reviews; compensation planning for initial public offerings and for mergers and acquisitions; and developing industry-related compensation surveys. Ms. Gaynor has also worked on several REIT transactions, including IPO structuring and internalizations, as well as deal negotiations, earn-out structuring and the preparation of shareholder communications.

Prior to joining FPL, Ms. Gaynor co-led FTI Consulting’s Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance Solutions team, where she advised both public and private companies on a wide array of compensation, governance and strategic matters. Earlier, Ms. Gaynor worked in the Internal Compensation Department for Cox Enterprises, a large-cap, diversified communications and automotive services company with more than 50,000 employees worldwide.

Ms. Gaynor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Policy and Development from Georgia State University and is a Certified Equity Professional and Certified Compensation Professional. She is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and WorldatWork. In her free time, Ms. Gaynor enjoys traveling with her husband and three daughters and reading historical fiction.
