Martin Eastgate

Martin Eastgate is a Senior Director at Ferguson Partners, based in the firm’s Tokyo office. His practice focuses on the real estate, infrastructure, private equity and investment management industries, among numerous others. He has successfully completed mid- to senior-level searches across real estate and private equity investment funds, asset managers, loan servicers, corporate real estate and facilities, and operating asset platforms (hospitality, student housing, self-storage, renewables and infrastructure). He also participates in the firm’s Global Hospitality Practice.

Mr. Eastgate has covered financial services executive recruitment in Japan since 2002 with a specific focus on real estate. Prior to joining Ferguson Partners, Mr. Eastgate worked for Hudson Global Resources Japan where he assisted Highland Partners, the group’s international executive search platform, on Japan-based retained searches. For his work with real estate investors, Mr. Eastgate has been voted as one of the Top 10 private equity search consultants in Japan by the Asiamoney Headhunters Poll.

Originally from England, Mr. Eastgate graduated from The University of Manchester with a Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in History. When he’s not working on searches, he enjoys combining his passions of photography and traveling, especially in the Japanese countryside.
