R Adam Seger

Vice President Operations at FPrin

R Adam Seger has had a long and successful career in engineering and operations management. R Adam began their career in 2001 as an Engineering Intern at Microlinear. In 2003, they became a Graduate Student Researcher and Lab Manager at UC Santa Cruz. In 2005, they were a Consultant at Intelleflex. In 2010, they were a Visiting Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center and a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Santa Cruz. In 2011, they joined MagArray, Inc. as Vice President of Operations, where they directed a 12-person interdisciplinary team to develop first- and second-generation multiplexed assays for lung nodule characterization. R Adam also managed a team of contract engineers, including hardware, software and mechanical engineers. In 2014, they co-founded two companies, BioStinger, Inc. and Magic Shot Games, LLC. At BioStinger, Inc., they were the Vice President of Engineering and successfully took the STING technology from a prototype instrument in a university laboratory and transitioned it into a beta instrument. At Magic Shot Games, LLC, they were the Lead Programmer and was involved in every portion of developing a video game for release into the market. In 2023, they joined FPrin as Vice President of Operations.

R Adam Seger began their education in 2000 when they earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz. R Adam continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2007. Finally, in 2009, they completed their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
