Tomas Hidalgo

Tomas didn’t speak English but still went straight to high school. He spent most of his life in the U.S. and can now speak three languages. He discovered his love for cameras in his mid-20s, when what started as a hobby quickly became a passion. He started out capturing the nightlife scene in San Francisco, bringing his camera to clubs and taking pictures of artists and people dancing. He sustained his passion for photography while working in retail and restaurants. He shot weddings on the weekends and traveled around North America and Europe to capture music festivals during the summer. After moving to Oregon In 2016, he started experimenting with film and video editing. He learned the ropes of working on set while filming music videos for a local YouTuber from 2019 to 2021. Tomas looks forward to bringing his experience as a traveling photographer to FPW as he continues to pursue his love for storytelling.
