Daniel Bjorklund has a strong background in cybersecurity and information assurance. Daniel currently works as a vCISO Principal at Fractional CISO. Prior to this, they founded and worked as a Senior Security Consultant at Community Cyber, where they provided cyber security and consulting services to various entities. Daniel also served as a Solutions Architect at Sabine Solutions Incorporated, where they contributed to developing solutions for clients. In addition, Daniel has extensive experience working with Leidos, where they held roles as a Cyber and Intelligence Systems Consultant and a Senior Intelligence Systems and Operations Analyst. Daniel has also worked as a Principal at Assured Bridge, specializing in Compliance as a Service. Earlier in their career, Daniel served as a Senior Intelligence Systems Analyst at SAIC and as a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Army.

Daniel Bjorklund has a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance and Security/Digital Forensics from Capella University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology/Information Assurance and Security from the same university, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, they completed the Warrant Officer Advanced Course in Military Signal/Geospatial Intelligence in 2005 and the Military Intelligence Warrant Officer Basic course in the same field in 1998. In 1994, they completed a course in Electronic Warfare Cryptologic Cryptanalysis. Daniel also studied Russian Language at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center from 1991 to 1992. Moreover, they have certifications such as CMMC Registered Practitioner and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body and ISC2.org respectively.
