Islam Mitwally

Islam Mitwally has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the oil and gas industry. Islam most recently served as the Vice President of Sales at Fracture ID, starting in September 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Sales Manager for the Texas and MidCon regions at Fracture ID from January 2020 to September 2022.

Before joining Fracture ID, Mitwally had a long tenure at Weatherford, where they held several positions. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Formation Evaluation Technical Sales professional in the Drilling & Evaluation division. From 2014 to 2017, they served as the Global Business Development Manager for Reservoir Solutions. Islam also served as the Geozone Geoscience Manager for Drilling & Evaluation from 2012 to 2014 and as a Global Technical Advisor for Wireline Formation Testing & Fluid Sampling from 2011 to 2012.

Prior to their time at Weatherford, Mitwally worked at Baker Hughes as the Geomarket Wireline Operations Manager from 2009 to 2011 and as a Wireline Field Engineer from 2002 to 2009.

Their career started in 2001 at the Egyptian Air Forces, where they served for a year. Before that, they interned at Eni in 1999 and GUPCO in 1998.

Throughout their career, Mitwally has gained extensive experience in sales and business development, technical advisory roles, and operations management within the oil and gas industry.

Islam Mitwally attended the University of Alexandria from 1995 to 2000, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Energy & Power Engineering.
