Imran Riaz has over 17 years of experience in the IT field. Imran began their career in 2004 as an IT Support Engineer at Pakistan, National University of Sciences & Technology, where they were responsible for day-to-day operations management and monitoring, as well as overseeing the infrastructure of over 600 computers.

In 2007, Imran joined MRINetwork as an IT Administrator, where they were in charge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and network resource management.

In 2009, they joined Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry as an IT Consultant. In this role, they managed three offices in Dubai and was responsible for all IT services and operations, including daily operations management, monitoring, and escalations.

Since 2014, Imran has been working at Fragomen, first as an IT Administrator and currently as the Lead IT Services Specialist. In these roles, they have supervised and managed the daily workload of IT staff, provided guidance and coordination to technical teams, and provided relevant feedback to ensure quick resolution of incidents and problems. Imran has also been involved in reducing recurring incidents, increasing system availability, and improving the automation of root cause analysis.

Imran Riaz has a diverse education history with a focus on computer science and networking. In 2002, they obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in Computer Sciences from Allama Iqbal Open University. In 2005, they enrolled at the Virtual University of Pakistan and completed their Bachelor of Computer Sciences (BCs.) degree in 2007. During their time at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) from 2006 to 2007, Imran received Cisco Netacad Training in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager. In 2009, they attended Emitech and earned certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) as well as Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), specializing in Windows XP. Imran also holds additional certifications in CCNA from Cisco and MCP from Microsoft, however, the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
