Sinisa Balent has a diverse background in finance and controlling. Sinisa has worked as the Head of Controlling at FRAMOS since June 2020 and as the Group Financial Controller from July 2019 to May 2020. Prior to that, they held various roles at Croatian Railways Passenger Transport, including Finance & Controlling Coordinator, Controlling & Business Development Director, and Member of the Management Board. Sinisa also has experience in controlling and planning management at Heineken, financial controlling and business development at Philip Morris International, and senior financial analysis at Reckitt Benckiser. Additionally, they worked as a management accountant at BAT and as a cost analyst at Jacobs Engineering. Their early career included a role as an economic analyst at the Croatian Chamber of Economy.
Sinisa Balent obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Zagreb/Sveuciliste u Zagrebu in the years 1993 to 1998. Sinisa then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from PennWest Clarion from 2000 to 2002. Sinisa later obtained certifications including Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from CIMA in October 2022. Sinisa also holds additional certifications such as Controller's Diploma from CA Akademie AG in September 2016, Certified Financial Manager (CFM) from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in May 2007, and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from IMA | Institute of Management Accountants in April 2007.
