Willie Celarie Fernandez

Willie Celarie Fernandez has extensive experience in the apparel industry. Since 2022, they have worked as a P.D and Pre-Production Manager at Frank & Eileen, where they support and manage product development processes for denim and sportswear. Prior to this, from 2017 to 2023, Fernandez was an Independent Business Owner at Willie Wear Apparel, where they provided consulting services in sourcing, R&D, product development, pre-production, wash development, and QA to production.

From 2014 to 2016, Fernandez worked as a Sales and Marketing Manager at Twin Dragon Marketing Inc, where they generated and managed sales and marketing for denim, twill, and PFD products. They also supported brands, retailers, wholesalers, and manufacturers in the development stage with their products. As an independent consultant from 2010 to 2014, Fernandez advised leading companies in R&D, merchandising, product development, denim textile, and sales, including Tavex Corporation.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, Fernandez was the Product Development and Sales Director at Rio Sul S.A de C.V, where they managed R&D, product development, pre-production, and the sales department for full package programs. They also reorganized company processes, implemented new systems, and led the creation of a new product development department and technical development center.

From 2004 to 2007, Fernandez worked as the Sales, Merchandiser, and Product Developer Director at Grupo Libra, where they created, directed, and managed sales, product development, merchandising, and pre-production departments. They also led seasonal collections of new developments for presentation to clients and facilitated communication between customer design teams, merchandising teams, and production managers.

During their career, Fernandez has also worked as a consultant, sourcing factories and implementing procedures for denim programs, and as a merchandiser and product development director at Grupo Libra. They have also provided consultation services for CAD/CAM and optimizing workflow to various companies.

In summary, Fernandez has a diverse range of experience in product development, pre-production, sales, marketing, merchandising, and consulting within the apparel industry.

Willie Celarie Fernandez attended FIDM from 1980 to 1982, where they pursued a degree in Fashion Manufacture. During their time at FIDM, they focused on taking fashion design courses.
