Stephan Hartenstein is the founder and General Manager of NomoRisk GmbH, established in January 2011, which specializes in consulting, training, and project management in Risk Management, Corporate Governance, and Information Security, primarily for the financial sector. Since May 2015, Hartenstein has also served as a Lecturer on Risk Management at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. In addition, Hartenstein holds the position of Senior Risk Consultant at the International Finance Corporation since August 2011, advising financial institutions. Hartenstein provides advisory services to board members of financial institutions on Risk Management, Corporate Governance, and Information Security. Prior roles include Head of Group Risk Management at ProCredit Holding AG and Vice President at JPMorgan Asset Management, where key responsibilities included overseeing risk management across multiple countries and operations. Hartenstein began their career as a System Analyst at Dresdner Bank after completing a Diploma in Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt and a study period at Luiss Guido Carli University.
