Sara Harris

Sara Harris, SHRM-SCP, has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Sara currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer at FSB Architects + Engineers. Prior to this, Sara worked as a Human Capital Consulting Manager at HoganTaylor LLP, where they provided advisory services and solutions to support business objectives and organizational goals.

Before joining HoganTaylor, Sara was the Senior Manager of Learning & Development and Special Projects at North Central Texas Council of Governments. Sara was responsible for managing projects, implementing changes, and leading communication efforts related to organizational development. Additionally, they oversaw the Training & Development Institute, a regional learning center delivering training programs to public sector and non-profit participants.

Sara also has experience as the Owner/Managing Partner of HR People Partners, where they provided HR consulting services to small to medium-sized businesses and led change initiatives related to HR programs and policies. Prior to this, they worked as an Innovative Solutions Consultant at SilkRoad Technology, collaborating with clients to develop strategic HR programs.

Their earlier work experience includes roles such as HR Manager at North Central Texas Council of Governments, HR Generalist at the City of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Personnel Specialist in the US Army. In these positions, they successfully implemented HR initiatives, managed operational processes, and provided personnel support.

Sara Harris, SHRM-SCP, has a strong educational background with a focus on public administration, business management, and human resources. Sara earned a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) from The University of Texas at Arlington from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business & HR Management from Simpson University, where they studied from 2000 to 2002.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sara has obtained several certifications to further enhance their professional expertise. Sara earned the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM in January 2020. Prior to that, they completed the Non-Profit Board Service Academy from the Oklahoma City Human Resources Society in December 2019. Sara also holds a Masters Certificate in Public Budgeting from The University of Texas at Arlington, which they obtained in May 2011. Furthermore, they earned the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2006.
