Sean McKay

Sean McKay is an experienced professional in the fields of horticulture and landscape design. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Columbus State Community College since June 2022, Sean teaches Plant Science in the Landscape Design and Management Department. In addition to this role, Sean has been the Growing to Green Coordinator at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens since March 2022 and the President of The Garden District Corporation since June 2020, where efforts focus on empowering individuals to grow their own food and support local food pantries. As a Freelance Landscape Designer with McKay Design and Plant Healthcare since October 2017, Sean emphasizes excellence in design and horticulture. Sean's background also includes experience as a Server/Supervisor at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants since April 2014 and a DC Clerk at National Vision, Inc. from October 2012 to November 2013. Sean holds multiple degrees from The Ohio State University, Columbus State Community College, and other institutions, specializing in horticultural science and sustainable plant systems.
