John Y. Kim

John Kim is the Founder and Managing Partner of Brewer Lane Ventures, an early-stage fintech venture capital firm based in Boston, Massachusetts, since July 2019. In addition, John Kim serves on the Board of Directors for Franklin Templeton and The New England Center for Children and is a Member of the Board of Trustees for Eversource Energy. Previously, John Kim held a significant role as President and Chief Investment Officer of New York Life Insurance Company from 2008 to 2018, overseeing the investment management division and acquiring leadership positions throughout the tenure. John Kim also served as President of Prudential Retirement from 2002 to 2007, leading the integration of CIGNA's retirement services post-acquisition. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
