Khalid Murgian is an experienced Institutional Sales Director at Franklin Templeton since January 2020, previously serving as the Founder and Managing Director of Khalid Murgian Consultancy from September 2015 to December 2019, providing strategic business development advice for firms entering the MENA and New Markets region. Prior to these roles, Khalid Murgian was Managing Director at Neuberger Berman, where a successful MENA presence was established, and at Goldman Sachs Asset Management International, leading a team that achieved significant AUM growth by focusing on major sovereign investors. Khalid Murgian’s career began in institutional sales at Threadneedle Investments, where over $2 billion was raised from institutional investors. Academic qualifications include an MSc in International Political Economy from The London School of Economics, an MBA in International Finance from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BSc in Economics from the University of San Francisco.
