Tanya Thorsen-Masingil

Tanya Thorsen-Masingil has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Tanya is currently working as a Senior Client Partner for Higher Education at FranklinCovey since November 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the DFW Area Sales Manager at Critique By Kids from April 2018 to October 2018.

Before their current positions, Tanya held various roles at Smart Tuition from 2014 to 2017, including Program Manager and Senior Vice President for the Western Region. In these roles, they successfully sold and promoted state-of-the-art technology to facilitate tuition and fee payments in private K12 schools, resulting in significant improvements in cash flow and affordability for families. Tanya also sold financial aid assessment tools integrated with Smart Tuition billing software to improve aid award decisions.

From 2012 to 2013, Tanya served as the Executive Vice President at PointAcross Solutions. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Nelnet Business Solutions from 2001 to 2012, where they excelled in sales and actively managed payment plans for colleges and universities. During this time, they achieved consistent territory growth and secured important partnerships, including the signing of the largest client account, generating over $1 million in revenue.

Tanya Thorsen-Masingil holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Higher Education Administration, which they obtained from Florida State University from 1990 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Duke University from 1986 to 1989, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology. In addition to their academic qualifications, Tanya also obtained the Unconscious Bias™ LeaderU Knowledge Certificate from FranklinCovey in October 2021.
