Selina Sonntag

Selina Sonntag is a researcher and PhD student at Uniklinik RWTH Aachen, focusing on valve construction for hypoplastic left heart syndrome and venous valve replacement since May 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a research assistant at Forschungszentrum Jülich, where work centered on prion protein and treatment options for prion diseases, as well as research assistant positions at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, improving models for Alzheimer’s Disease, and Imperial College London, enhancing lentivirus-based gene delivery systems. Additional experience includes internships at the University Erlangen-Nuremberg in animal physiology and at the International Audio Laboratories Erlangen, alongside a brief tenure as a student assistant for the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft. Selina Sonntag holds a Master of Science in Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Life Sciences from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
