Miraflor Santos

Miraflor Santos is a dedicated researcher currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, expected to be completed in 2025. Miraflor has held a research position at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution since September 2019, complementing a concurrent PhD journey at MIT. Previous experience includes a research role at the Frontier Development Lab, a summer student fellowship, and an undergraduate researcher position at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. Additionally, Miraflor participated as a student delegate at the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change and interned as a wildlife photographer at Fauna Forever. Miraflor holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from New York University Abu Dhabi and graduated with academic distinction from University City High School.
