Yelena Stepanyan

Yelena Stepanyan, CFA, MBA, currently serves as the Head of Investments at Embark, focusing on investment strategy, asset allocation, and responsible investing strategy implementation since November 2013. Additionally, Yelena is the Senior Advisor and Chair of the Institutional Asset Management Committee at CFA Society Toronto, where the emphasis is on developing programs beneficial to institutional asset management. In an academic capacity, Yelena teaches financial management and sustainable investing as an Adjunct Professor at the International Business University. Yelena's prior experience includes roles at the Accounting Standards Board's User Advisory Committee, Capco as a Sr. Consultant, RBC Global Asset Management as a Sr. Analyst, and participation in the competitive Wealth Management Generalist Rotation Program at RBC. Yelena began their career with a summer associate role at Highstreet Asset Management and project management at the International Monetary Fund, after obtaining an MBA from Ivey Business School and earning a CFA Charter.
