Dave Keen

Dave Keen has extensive experience in workplace health and safety. Dave began their career as a Safety Officer at Vancouver Community College from 1990 to 1994. Dave then worked as a Safety Manager at Childrens and Womens' Hospital of BC from 1994 to 1998, as well as an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant at Children's and Women's Health Centre from 1994 to 1998. Keen then joined the South Fraser Health Region in 1998, where they held positions such as Workplace Health and Safety Advisor and Team Leader until 2002. In 2002, they transitioned to the Fraser Health Authority where they served as Regional Director of Workplace Health until 2011. Dave then became the Executive Director, responsible for leadership in workplace health and safety, disability management, and more. In 2016, they briefly acted as the VP of People and Organizational Development before continuing their role as Executive Director. Keen has demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the field of workplace health throughout their career.

Dave Keen attended the University of Washington, where they studied from an unspecified start year and graduated in 2000. Dave then pursued a Diploma (Hons) in Occupational Health & Safety at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, completing the program from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma Tech (Hons) in OHS from the same institute between 1987 and 1990. Dave Keen also returned to the University of Washington at an unknown date, and there are mentions of their potential enrollment in September 2006 and May 2004, but no specific degree or field of study is provided for these periods.
