Samantha Tong is an experienced public health professional with a comprehensive background in planning, evidence-based decision making, and health equity. Since November 2012, Samantha has served as the Manager of Planning, Evidence and Policy at Fraser Health Authority, where leadership is provided to support strategic and program planning for the Population and Public Health senior leadership team. Additionally, Samantha leads the South Asian Health Institute, focusing on the health and wellness of South Asian communities in the Fraser Health region, while also holding the position of Acting Manager for the Population Health Observatory. Prior experience includes a role as a Consultant for Population Health Strategy at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Samantha holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Alberta, an Advanced Project Management Certificate from Langara College, and an Advanced Facilitation and Consultation Certificate from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
