Antje Heit

Antje Heit serves as the Director of Translational Immunology and Affiliate Investigator at Fred Hutch since February 2020. With a long-standing involvement in HIV research and vaccine development, Antje was previously the Associate Director of Translational Immunology in the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division at Fred Hutch from June 2018 to February 2020, and prior to that, an Associate and Research Associate in the same division. From 2009 to 2011, Antje held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Fred Hutch, following a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Technical University of Munich from 2001 to 2008, where Antje focused on basic research in immunology and vaccinology. Antje also holds the title of Privatdozent at the Technical University of Munich since 2013.
