Dr. Eiman Ahmed Elwidaa

Dr. Eiman Ahmed Elwidaa has a diverse work experience. Dr. Eiman Ahmed is currently serving as the Director of Housing, Investment, and Development at Fred Victor. Prior to that, they held the position of Professor at both Georgian College and George Brown College. Dr. Eiman Ahmed also worked as a Construction Project Manager at Indwell. In addition, they have held roles as a Visiting Scholar at York University - City Institute and as a Research Supervisor at Conestoga College. Dr. Eiman Ahmed has also gained experience as a Research Assistant at McMaster University. Before their academic career, they worked as the Principal Architect and Consultant at Widaa Architects and Consultancy Company Ltd. and as a University Lecturer at Makerere University. Dr. Eiman Ahmed began their career as a Tender Documents Editor at The Arab Contractors.

Dr. Eiman Ahmed Elwidaa has a diverse education history. Dr. Eiman Ahmed obtained a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) in Architecture from the University of Khartoum in 1988. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Architectural and Building Sciences/Technology from the same university, which they completed from 1993 to 1995.

In 1994, Dr. Elwidaa enrolled in the International Institute of Housing and Urban Management Studies (IHS), Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they obtained a Graduate Diploma in Neighborhood Development Planning.

Later, in 1997, they attended the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they earned a Graduate Diploma in Rural Development & Project Planning.

In more recent years, Dr. Elwidaa pursued further education and specialization. Dr. Eiman Ahmed completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Urbanisation - Environmental Design - Inclusive Human Settlements and Housing Designs from SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences between 2015 and 2020. Moreover, in 2019, they received training in Architectural design, building methods, and materials in cold climates at JVS.

On a skill-specific level, Dr. Elwidaa has honed their expertise through additional certifications. In 1992, they obtained the title of Consultant Architect from the Sudan Society of Architects - Sudan Engineering Council. Additionally, they became a Corporate Member of the Architects Registration Board Uganda, although the specific month is not provided.

Looking ahead, Dr. Elwidaa is set to receive the designation of International Associate from both The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and The Royal Architectural Institute Of Canada - RAIC in June and April 2023, respectively.
