Rune Asmussen

Rune Asmussen is an experienced director currently serving as the Direktør for the Municipality of Frederikshavn, responsible for the technical area since November 2023. Prior roles include Teknik- og Kulturdirektør at Struer Kommune and Teknik- og Miljøchef at Syddjurs Kommune. Rune Asmussen’s extensive background in municipal management spans various positions, including Afdelingschef in multiple departments focused on planning, construction, roads and traffic, and environmental management at Randers Kommune. Rune holds a Master's degree in Public Management from the University of Southern Denmark and a Master of Science in Planning and Technology Management from the Technical University of Denmark, complemented by a leadership education from the Kommunernes Udviklingscenter.
