Alok Sharma

Alok Sharma has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Alok began their career in 1998 as a Sr. Software Engineer at Covansys, where they worked on the technology group that maintained the organization's technology focus. In 2000, they moved to Citigroup Private Bank Singapore as a Senior Technical Lead, where they were responsible for the project coordination, architecture design and maintenance/modification of two main systems. In 2004, they joined Guardian Life as a Technical Consultant, where they were responsible for the design, development and support for the Group Portal Project. In 2007, Alok moved to Compuware as a Technical Architect, where they worked for various clients and was responsible for the complete software development life cycle. In 2009, they joined eBay Inc. as a Senior Engineering Manager. In 2016, they co-founded ZingUpLife, and in 2017, they co-founded IOO Labs Private Limited, where they focused on design-led application development and product-based thinking to engineer new business models. Currently, Alok is the Co-Founder & CTO of FREED, India's first comprehensive Debt Relief Company, which helps thousands of consumers overcome their debt and achieve financial freedom.

Alok Sharma completed their M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras between 1998 and 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology between 1992 and 1996. Alok also holds certifications from the PMI-OC Project Management Institute and Sun Microsystems, respectively.
