Rich Kluever

Rich has 30 years of experience in the circuit board manufacturing and design industry. After eight years supporting assembly on the manufacturing floor at IBM, he began specializing in new product introduction, especially design for manufacturing. After moving to Solectron, his DFM work was primarily done using Valor Trilogy. Rich was one of the key contributors to Solectron’s Trilogy development, deployment, and training. He co-authored Solectron’s design guidelines which were the ground rules for the Valor checks. He continued that work after Flextronics acquired Solectron. At Freedom CAD, Rich has brought his manufacturing experience to the PCB layout stage, helping to ensure high-quality, manufacturable designs. Rich has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Engineering from Georgia Tech and the University of Wisconsin.
