James Abernathy

James Abernathy is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Senior Litigation Counsel at the Freedom Foundation since September 2014, focusing on advancing individual liberty and challenging public sector unions in court. Prior to this role, James held positions such as Associate General Counsel at Ozion Brands and Graduate Assistant at Regent School of Law. Notable clerkships include working for Justice Tom Parker at the Alabama Supreme Court and the Virginia Supreme Court, where James contributed to the preparation of bench memos for Supreme Court Justices.
