Cater Lee

Cater Lee is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in programming, production, and journalism. Currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees at Freedom House since October 2021, Cater also holds the position of Vice President of Original Programming, On-Air Talent Development and News at Spectrum News since June 2018, where the development and operation of Spectrum News 1 in Los Angeles have been central responsibilities. Previous roles include Vice President of Programming and Senior Director of TV Program Development at The E.W. Scripps Company, and Chief Executive Officer at Turning Point Productions, overseeing various successful lifestyle programming projects. With a strong journalism background as an anchor and reporter at KCAL/KCBS and KNBC Los Angeles, Cater has received multiple Emmy Awards. Educational credentials include a BS in Marketing and an MA in Journalism from the University of Virginia and the University of Southern California, respectively, along with recent executive education at Harvard Business School.
