Tim Hartman

Tim Hartman has over 13 years of work experience in the fields of cybersecurity, project coordination, and aviation electronics technology. In 2018, they worked as a Cybersecurity Analyst at Freedom Information Systems, Inc., where they led organizational efforts to meet Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) information security compliance requirements for Department of Defense (DoD) customer support. Tim also developed and implemented internal policies and processes required to meet DoD compliance requirements for information security standards, and assessed and reported on internal organizational processes that posed risks to information security vulnerabilities. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Project Coordinator at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, where they reviewed high-level space technology project plans in order to strategize and coordinate project activities across 10 domestic space centers. Tim also provided technical support to users, troubleshooting issues with intranet services, file storage security, web updates, and other network operations matters. Finally, from 2007 to 2016, they worked as a Sr. Supervisor, Aviation Electronics Technology for the US Navy, where they supervised 20+ avionics technicians and electricians, directing technical projects for avionics systems and subsystems on 13 C-2A and 14 P-3 military aircraft. Tim also planned, forecasted, implemented, and identified resource requirements for network systems, such as aircraft communications systems.

Tim Hartman obtained a Certificate in Computer Networking from the University of Maryland University College in May 2017. Tim then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networking and Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2017. In 2013 and 2014, Hartman earned an AS Electronics Technology from Coastline College and a General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) with Shipboard Radar Endorsement from the Federal Communications Commission in July 2014. Hartman then completed their education with a Master of Business Administration - MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2019.
