Mary Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and positions. Mary has worked as a School Safety Readiness Specialist at the Texas School Safety Center, where they focused on developing online training curriculum for emergency operations planning. Prior to this, they worked at Texas State University as an Adjunct Faculty member, Instructional Designer, and Online Course Developer, where they created and facilitated courses, designed academic content, and developed interactive online courses. Mary also worked as an Accessibility-Certified Instructional Designer and Program Manager at Freedom Learning Group, ensuring accessibility of assessments for various companies. Mary has prior experience as a Regional Training Director at Brundage Management, where they employed instructional design methodologies to create learning solutions. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Instructional Designer and Trainer Consultant at Edvance Research, Inc., designing modules and e-training courses. Before transitioning to instructional design, Mary worked in the field of private tutoring, as an SAT/ASVAB tutor. Mary also worked as an Adjunct Faculty member at Central Texas College Europe, teaching various subjects to adult students. Mary's career began in the US Army, where they served as a Course Manager/Instructional Designer and a Human Intelligence Collector. Their roles involved managing courses and conducting information collection operations.

Mary Anderson's education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2013, they attended the University of Phoenix and obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Adult Education and Training.

Between 2007 and 2010, they studied at the University of Maryland Global Campus, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in History and a minor in English.

In the years 2000 to 2002, Mary attended Fayetteville Technical Community College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.

Additionally, in 2015, they completed the Bob Pike Train the Trainer Bootcamp, earning a Train the Trainer Certification in Facilitation and Training.

Later in 2015 and 2016, Mary received a Certificate of Completion from AFSA University for their studies in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law.

Mary Anderson also holds several additional certifications. In 2019, they obtained a Foundations of Learning Experience Design certification from NovoEd. Also in 2019, they completed the OLC and Open SUNY Instructional Designer Certificate Program and became an OLC and Open SUNY Course Quality Review (OSCQR) Trainer through the OLC Institute for Professional Development. In 2018, they became a Credly Member and completed the Topics in Focus: 2018 - Accessibility course by the OLC Institute for Professional Development. Furthermore, in 2018, Mary obtained the Accessibility and Usability Resource Site (AURS) certification from QM Quality Matters and completed the Designing Your Online Course (DYOC) Fifth Edition and Improving Your Online Course (IYOC) Fifth Edition certifications from QM Quality Matters. In 2017, they achieved the Master Trainer Certification from the Department of the Army. Their earliest certification listed is the Basic Instructor Certification from the Department of the Army in 1999. Lastly, in 2020, Mary obtained the Researcher/FERPA (IPS) certification from CITI Program, a Division of BRANY and the Inbound Marketing certification from HubSpot Academy in 2018.
