Yianice Hernandez is an accomplished nonprofit leader with extensive experience in strategic planning, grantmaking, and program development. Currently serving as Deputy Chief of Staff at THE JPB FOUNDATION since March 2020, Yianice drives operational priorities, oversees initiatives from the president's office, and fosters collaborations with funding partners. Previous roles at the foundation include Senior Program Officer positions focusing on innovation in grantmaking and environmental initiatives. Yianice has held leadership positions at the New York City Housing Authority, directing a $2B capital planning portfolio, and at the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, where innovative design strategies for public health were integrated. Earlier experience includes significant contributions to Enterprise Community Partners, enhancing sustainable affordable housing through national initiatives. Yianice holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Law from Pace University.
