Thomas J. Ronacher has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Thomas J. is currently the President and Co-Founder of Freeform since March 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the CTO and Co-Founder of Freeform from November 2018 to March 2023.

Before joining Freeform, Thomas held various positions at Hyperloop One. Thomas J. started as the Director of Hyperstructures in February 2015 and led the structures group to build the first full-scale hyperloop system. Thomas J. also played a significant role in developing the original architecture and growing the company to 300 employees. Thomas then served as the Director Of System Engineering - UAE from January 2017 to January 2018 before becoming the VP Hardware Engineering from February 2018 to June 2018.

Thomas also worked at Virgin Galactic as the Thermal System Lead for LauncherOne from September 2014 to February 2015. Prior to that, they were employed at Seal Science, Inc. as a Principal Design Engineer from January 2013 to September 2014.

Earlier in their career, Thomas held roles at SpaceX where they worked as a Senior Propulsion Analyst from August 2012 to December 2012. Thomas J. also served as a Propulsion Analyst & TPS Engineer from June 2007 to August 2012.

Thomas J. Ronacher pursued their education at the University of California, Berkeley from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
