Joseph Benzaken

Joseph Benzaken has a strong background in research and engineering. Joseph is currently working as a Senior Simulations Engineer at Freeform. Prior to that, they held the position of Research Scientist at Walt Disney Animation Studios from October 2018 to November 2022. Joseph also worked as a Technical Research Intern at the same company during the summer of 2017 and from May to August 2018. Joseph was a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Colorado Boulder from August 2013 to May 2018. Joseph also worked as a Research Assistant at MIT Lincoln Laboratory during the summer of 2014 and as a Summer Research Intern in 2012. Additionally, Joseph gained experience as a Stress Analyst Intern and Engineering Assistant at Boeing from February 2010 to August 2013.

Joseph Benzaken completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics from California State University, Long Beach between 2008 and 2013. Joseph then pursued further education at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they obtained a Master's degree (M.S.) and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Mathematics from 2013 to 2018.
