Lead Digital Design Engineer at Freeform

Matthew Ryan has extensive work experience in FPGA design engineering. Matthew currently holds the position of Senior FPGA Design Engineer at Freeform since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Silvus Technologies from July 2017 to April 2020, first as a Senior FPGA Design Engineer and then as an FPGA Engineering Manager.

Before Silvus Technologies, Matthew worked at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as an FPGA Design Engineer from January 2013 to July 2017. Matthew'srole involved designing instrument interface systems for both flight and non-flight projects, focusing on creating high-performance hardware/software environments using Xilinx and Actel FPGAs.

Matthew also has experience as a Graduate Student at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2012, a Platform Architecture Engineering Intern at Apple in 2011, an Engineering Coop at Harris Corporation in 2010, a Test Engineering Coop at Harris Corporation in 2009, and a Verification and Validation Coop at Welch Allyn in 2009. Matthew also worked as a Summer Intern at Welch Allyn in 2008.

Matthew Ryan attended the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
