Thomas J. Ronacher is the CTO and Co-Founder at Freeform. Prior to that, they were the VP Hardware Engineering at Hyperloop One from February 2015 to June 2018. There, they led hardware development for Virgin Hyperloop's novel human transportation concepts. From September 2014 to February 2015, Ronacher was the Thermal System Lead for LauncherOne at Virgin Galactic. Before that, they were the Principal Design Engineer at Seal Science, Inc. from January 2013 to September 2014 where they were the Technical, Project, and Engineering Team Lead. Ronacher began their career as a Senior Propulsion Analyst at SpaceX in June 2007 where they were the lead analyst for many untestable, flight-critical engine components and thermal protection systems for Falcon 9 and Dragon vehicles.

Thomas J. Ronacher has a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Fluid Mechanics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Thomas also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
