VP of Appraisals at FREEMAN'S

Don Walter currently holds the position of Vice President of Appraisals and is Freeman’s senior appraiser with a specialty in general property. Mr. Walter assists in providing verbal auction valutaions for single items or entire collections and formal written appraisals for estate-planning, estate tax, gift tax and insurance.

Mr. Walter joined Freeman's in 1990 and has held many roles within the company including auction house manager, auctioneer and appraiser. As an auctioneer, Mr. Walter has overseen hundreds of sales at Freeman's in categories ranging from fine jewelry to American folk art. His almost 25 years of experience in the auction world is an incredible asset to the company and he continually strives to increase his already vast knowledge of the art and antiques market.

An accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America, Mr. Walter is also a USPAP certified appraiser. For the past fourteen years, he has served as the charity auctioneer for the Green Towne Montessori School's fundraising events, and is an avid supporter of Autism Speaks.
