Lance Baldo is the Chief Medical Officer at Freenome. Lance was previously the Director of Corporate Strategy & Business Development at 10x Genomics from January 2018 to December 2020. Prior to that, they were the Director of Corporate Development at Cepheid from January 2015 to December 2018. Lance started their career at Abbott as a Senior Product Manager from January 2012 to December 2014. At Abbott, they successfully managed a portfolio with $65MM in revenues, a marketing budget of $800K, and 1 direct report. Some of their key contributions include launching the “Reduce Risk of Cross Contamination” Marketing Campaign and earning the “Power of Engagement Award” for driving pivotal studies which identified blood contamination on test strip vials. Lance has also partnered with KOLs to shape guidelines with hospital inspection agencies, CLSI, Joint Commission and CAP.

Lance Baldo has a Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and Business Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business. Additionally, they have a certification in Green Belt - Lean Six Sigma. Lance also speaks Mandarin fluently, having studied it at National Taiwan University. Finally, they hold a BSBA from the University of Pittsburgh where they majored in Marketing & Finance and minored in Economics.
