Hailé Betemariam

Hailé Betemariam is a highly experienced hydrogeologist with a comprehensive background in groundwater and surface water investigations. Currently serving as a Senior Hydrogeologist at Freeport-McMoRan since September 2021, Hailé has a proven track record in pit dewatering and slope depressurization infrastructure from a previous role at ASARCO. Hailé's expertise spans various positions in companies such as The Mosaic Company, CH2M HILL, Inc, and premier consulting roles, showcasing a strong proficiency in mine dewatering projects, aquifer testing, well design, and environmental impact assessments. Hailé holds a Master of Science degree in Geological Engineering from South Dakota Mines and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Addis Ababa University. Additionally, Hailé is the Owner/Manager of Black Lion Realty, LLC since November 2022.
