Ali Saket

Ali Saket, Ph.D., SMIEEE, serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Hardware Architect at FreePower since November 2020, where responsibilities include guiding the technical roadmap for future wireless chargers. Prior to this role, Ali Saket was a Senior Power Electronics Engineer focused on designing circuits for second-generation free-position wireless chargers. Previous experiences include working as a Power Electronics Design Engineer at SMPC Technologies Ltd., developing high power density converters for Electric Vehicles and telecom applications, and engaging in research at the Martin Ordonez Lab on high-frequency planar magnetics. Additional roles include R&D work on battery chargers at Delta-Q Technologies and an internship at Tesla, conducting electro-thermal analysis on supercharger components. Ali Saket earned a Ph.D. in Power Electronics from The University of British Columbia, a Master’s degree from Sharif University of Technology, and a Bachelor’s degree from Amirkabir University of Technology.
