April Hurry

April Hurry has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. April started their career at Modjeski and Masters as a Structural Engineer, where they designed concrete and steel girder bridges and conducted bridge studies. April then joined Design Engineering, Inc. as a Structural Engineer, focusing on flood protection projects and managing design projects. April also worked as a Senior Consulting Engineer at Keystone Engineering Inc, where they were responsible for offshore platform modifications. April later served as an EDF Climate Corps Fellow at Rochester, MN Parks and Recreation, where they determined the financial feasibility of LED lighting retrofit projects and managed the RFP process. Currently, they work as a Water Resources Design Project Manager at Freese and Nichols.

April Hurry has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from Rice University, completed in 1990. April also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of New Orleans, completed in 2002. In addition, they obtained a Master of Public Policy degree with a focus on Environmental Policy from American University between the years of 2017 and 2019.
