Michael Hagen, P.E. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Michael started their career in 1987 at Killam Associates as a Project Engineer, primarily working on wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects. In 1998, they became a Principal and Licensed Engineer of Record at Global Engineering Solutions, Inc. Michael then joined Azurix North America, Inc as a Project Manager, providing technical support for water and wastewater utilities and asset management planning.

In 2001, Michael joined GEOD Consulting, Inc as a Project Manager, before moving on to Township of Berkeley Heights, NJ as an Assistant Township Engineer in 2004. Here, they managed and supervised day-to-day activities and coordinated with the off-site municipal engineering consultant.

Michael Hagen then joined Garden State Engineering of NJ, LLC in 2005 as a Project Manager/Engineer. Their responsibilities included managing and supervising a variety of water resource and infrastructure projects, assigning and directing staff, coordinating with government agencies and sub-consultants, and preparing proposals and budgets.

In 2013, they joined Parsons Corporation as a Senior Engineer and later became a Project Manager. Michael was responsible for managing projects and overseeing engineering activities. In 2017, they joined Freese and Nichols as an Engineer VI, where they continue to contribute their expertise in the field of engineering.

Throughout their career, Michael Hagen has gained experience in various aspects of engineering, including water and wastewater facilities, aquifer interconnectivity analyses, stormwater management, dam inspection and design, watershed protection, regulatory compliance, and municipal planning and permitting. Michael has also demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management capabilities, and a commitment to quality assurance and control.

Michael Hagen, P.E. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1987. Michael also holds additional certifications including Env SP - Envision Sustainability Professional from the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure, PACP, MACP & LACP from NASSCO, and they are a licensed Professional Engineer in both New Jersey and Texas.
