Will Drach

Will Drach has extensive experience in software engineering and web development. From 2013 to 2022, they have held various positions in the tech industry. In 2013, they were a Systems Administrator Intern at Birdbox, Inc. where they built and configured multiple basic Ubuntu Linux systems, set up Nagios-based server-side monitoring, and participated in VictorOps' early alpha. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Student Systems Administrator at the University of Colorado Boulder where they used Python scripting to reduce process runtime, worked directly with customers to solve problems, and maintained the security of the systems. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Backend Developer at Motel.is where they eliminated the need for developers to build custom solutions for image resizing, cropping, and security by designing and implementing a dynamic image handling API built on a microservice architecture. Will also performed a cost analysis which reduced server costs by over 50%. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Software Engineer at Nextworld.net where they consistently delivered on bug reports and feature requests for the enterprise software product, beat delivery expectations by an average of 15% week over week, and helped architect a no-code platform for ERP applications. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Software Engineer at Workiva where they implemented a custom Zendesk chat integration using React/Flux, which was used by over 2300 customers with 0 bug reports. From 2021 to 2022, they were a Full Stack Software Engineer at MutualMarkets and a Javascript Developer Consultant at Bitovi where they worked as team lead on a lift and shift project, migrated a legacy Angular JS codebase to modern Angular, gave internal presentations, and helped build and maintain an internal design system. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at FreeWill where they constructed trading bots for Gemini and Coinbase to automate liquidation, logging, and sending of tax receipts, built and deployed multiple smart contract systems, and managed assets for the Free Hand community. Will also built custom Solidity smart contracts, Next & Rainbow based frontends, and GCP deployed NodeJS backends to handle unique mints and distribution of their own generative artwork.

Will Drach received their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2017. Will attended ThunderRidge HS from 2009 to 2013. In December 2014, they obtained an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Linux from edX.
