Mary Anne Hensley

Mary Anne Hensley is the current VP of Sponsored Content Operations at FreightWaves. Mary has been with the company since July of 2018 and in their previous role as Director of Digital Media Content, they oversaw all community marketing efforts for FreightWaves' events, research, content, and partner initiatives.

Prior to joining FreightWaves, Mary Anne spent 7 years with the CMO Council where they held the position of Executive Editor, Director of Content and Marketing Programs. In this role, they were responsible for brainstorming content topics, writing/editing content, planning issue layouts, working with freelancers to gather outsourced content and overseeing production of the CMO Council print/digital journal. Additionally, they managed the editorial calendar and submissions for all content initiatives, wrote/edited/reviewed all content including reports, white papers, weekly and monthly e-newsletters, and quarterly digital journal. Mary also created timelines and oversaw production for marketing research initiatives around the latest developments and challenges in the marketing field.

Mary Anne is a skilled content creator and marketer with a proven track record of developing successful marketing programs. Mary is a strategic thinker with the ability to think outside the box to develop creative solutions to complex problems. Mary is an excellent communicator and has a strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Mary Anne Hensley received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Middle Tennessee State University.
